Preliminary Workshop on the Aus4Skill Program

On September 25, 2019, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) attended the Preliminary Conference and Plan Consensus 2019-2020 Aus4Skill Program Project. This is an activity within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the General Department of Vocational Education (INGO) and the Australian and Vietnam Program for Human Resource Development (Aus4Skills).



The content of the seminar included a progress report on Logistic Training Advisory Board activities, Project implementation results at vocational schools, Evaluation of state agencies and proposal of operation orientation, Report announcement Situation and Human Resource Development Proposal for the Logistics Industry of Vietnam 2019, discussing, agreeing on the plan 7/2019 - 12/20 and measures to maintain the results of the project after 2020.



Since its inception, the Aus4Skill Program has built a quality training model, involving businesses in the Logistic industry, while improving management skills and institutional strengthening for VET partners. . Through the Program Performance Evaluation Report, up to 42 senior managers of schools and partners have improved management skills; 6 colleges / schools are integrating entrepreneurship activities into the university's strategic plan to attract enrollment and promote gender balance.


Speaking at the Workshop, Mr. Vu Xuan Hung, Director of the Department of Formal Training, said that in the coming time, the General Department of Education and Training will develop a Decree stipulating the rights and responsibilities of enterprises in vocational education and training fund. create a nation contributed and used by businesses, order training of businesses and the state, Council of industry skills ..



Representative of VCCI Ho Chi Minh City Branch, Ms. Bui Thi Ninh - Representative of Logistic Vocational Training Advisory Board (LIRC) highly appreciated the sharing of the Australian government's working style to train skills for Vietnam in construction. and operate the LIRC model.


As one of two vocational education institutions selected in the Aus4Skill training program, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly - Principal of Thu Duc Technology College expressed her pride when the lecturers of the Faculty of Business Administration were invited to attend. Direct training of forklift operation module under the guidance of Aus4Skill project experts. The evaluation of forklift operation skills will complement the skills of learners to meet the output standards to meet the requirements of society. In addition, the activity also shows the connection between the school and businesses in vocational training activities, she shared.

Through activities to improve knowledge and skills in logistics, the Aus4Skill Program has helped to improve the professional skills of teachers and lecturers at vocational education institutions. At the same time, contributing to 8 new training majors and adjustment of 3 specialties. With this effort, the DOET departments have increased 70% of the enrollment in schools compared to 2018, an increase of 143% (2019); more than 2,100 students benefited from training for 70 teachers; Four schools have been authorized by the Directorate of Agriculture and Rural Development to lead the development of national output standards for four logistic training professions. The results obtained from the Aus4Skill Program are a typical example of Vietnam's process of developing Vietnam's state budget policy.
