Vinh Phuc: Focusing on innovation to improve the quality of vocational education

Implementing the project "Renovating and improving the quality of vocational education", under the Target Program of Vocational Education - Employment and Occupational Safety for the period 2016 - 2020. The whole province will provide vocational training for 105,500 employees. In which, there are 17,500 employees at vocational college level, 39,000 employees at vocational college, primary job and less than 3 months for 49,000 employees.

Mr. Pham The Vinh - Deputy Head of Vocational Training Department of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vinh Phuc province said that there are currently 39 establishments participating in vocational training activities in the province. Of which: 7 colleges; 5 secondary schools; 22 vocational training centers ... The training scale in 2019 will reach over 50,000 people. The rate of trained labor increases rapidly every year, in 2019 is expected to reach 74.2%.

The total number of officials and teachers of vocational training institutions in the province in 2019 is 1,994 people. In which: College teacher 1,141 people; middle school teacher 279 people; Primary and vocational vocational teachers under 3 months 574 people.

In order to improve the quality of vocational training, the provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has implemented comprehensive solutions such as:

Regarding the development of vocational teachers and management staff: Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in collaboration with prestigious universities, quality of training and retraining of practical practice skills for 332 teachers Vocational education in the province. Organizing 16 training workshops to improve the capacity of 5,228 officials working on Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs at district and commune levels and vocational training institutions;

Managers and teachers have conducted pilot training in France and Australia for 03 occupations (Automotive technology, Industrial electricity, Metal cutting) 106 times of Vinh Vocational College Phuc and College of Agricultural Engineering;

Regarding the development of the curriculum and textbooks: Vinh Phuc Vocational College, Vinh Phuc Economic and Technical College assigned by the General Department of Vocational Education to pilot the training of Mechatronics by ASEAN standards, Metal cutting profession , Automotive technology, Industrial electricity are participating in the transfer of training programs under the project "Transfer of program sets; training and retraining of teachers and vocational training managers; pilot training of key occupations at ASEAN and international level ";

Regarding material facilities and vocational training equipment: In the 2016-2020 period, Vinh Phuc invested 2 schools (Vinh Phuc vocational college, and Vinh Phuc Technical and Technical College) and 12 vocational training institutions with funding. VND 244,433 million. Of which, central budget is VND 44,000 million and provincial budget is VND 200,433 million;

Regarding the association of vocational training with the labor market and enterprises: Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs instructs vocational training institutions to step up cooperation with enterprises in developing training, practice and internship programs. High vocational skills to support and help students access to production techniques and technologies of the enterprise while studying.

Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs asks enterprises located in the area to provide information on training needs, employment of enterprises by industry; direct vocational education institutions located in the province to formulate plans for enrollment and training of industries and trades associated with enterprises' needs; formulating and organizing the implementation of plans to promote cooperation between vocational education institutions and enterprises.

Vocational education institutions actively cooperate with enterprises to organize the production of goods right at the school, contributing to improving vocational skills of learners and increasing income for schools and students (College of Mechanical Engineering) Agriculture, Minh Tien Vocational Training Center);

Regarding international cooperation on vocational training: In order to enhance the exchange of learning experience and organize training according to international standards, Vinh Phuc province agrees and allows Vinh Phuc Vocational College to organize pilot training according to standards. The College of Agricultural Engineering is assigned to organize 4 pilot vocational training courses according to ASEAN and International standards (Admissions in 2016) including Automotive Technology: 23 students, Industrial electricity 15 students; Metal cutting 19 students and Korean professions (enrolled in 2017) 18 students.
