“Vietnam has a plentiful labor force and a young labor structure. By 2017, the average workforce is 54.4 million people, accounting for 57% of the population. The labor force aged 15 and older accounted for 67.9%. This is an age group that has the potential to acquire new knowledge and skills to improve the quality of human resources and labor productivity in Vietnam.” That is the statement of the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vietnam VCCI Dr. Vu Tien Loc at the conference.

He emphasized: "The rate of post-secondary and upper secondary schooling is still low (8-10%). Connecting businesses and schools in recruiting training is one of the key determinants of quality after graduation. "

With the dramatic change of the 4.0 industrial revolution, today's jobs will not exits in the next 5-10 years. In the future, 70% of the work we do will be lost. As a result, vocational education institutions must constantly change to better meet the needs of the labor market. "

However, the cohesive activities are not really tight, businesses have not seen their interests, the school does not meet the demand for high-quality labor of the business ". At present, DVET also actively develops the project "Renovating and improving the quality of vocational education”. The three main tasks of the program are to cultivate self-control of the business; to standardize the quality of teachers and lecturers; To standardize the educational and training establishments, which are closely associated with actual production activities at enterprises.
