Workshop “EVFTA: Opportunities and Challenges for Vietnamese Workforce“

The EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) signed in Hanoi on 30^th June marks a milestone in our integration strategy, opening tremendous opportunites and also critical challenges for Vietnamese workforce. Possesses many great advantages including abundant young labor force and competitive labor costs, the country is still challenged by the lack of quality and highly skilled labor resources, according to Provincial Competitiveness Index Report 2018 (PCI2018). In order to increase the awareness of  EVFTA's impacts on Vietnamese workforce, and at the same time, emphasize the importance of multi-stakeholder cooperation for the development of labor quality, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in collaboration with ManpowerGroup Vietnam will hold Workshop "EVFTA: Opportunities and Challenges for Vietnamese Workforce". This is a forum and opportunity for international organizations, business associations and employers to comment and make suggestions to strengthen the local workforce quality given the background of Vietnam's extensive international integration.
