Decent employment for everyone is the target of Vietnamese government

The program agenda about decent employment opportunities contains four main items: job creation, social insurance, promotion of employees’ right and social communication. Decent work is the target of not only creating more employment opportunities, but also enhance employment quality, better, safer to ensure social insurance criteria; more efficient, higher salary and to make sure the balance among society and economy targets.

The representative of government, employees and employers together with the ILO (International Labour Organization) signed the new cooperation document. This new document includes the cooperation framework between ILO and Vietnamese partners within the next 5 years with the target of decent employment opportunities for everyone.

At the ceremony, the prime minister of Labour, War invalids and Social Affairs - Mr. Dao Ngoc Dung, Mr. Bui Van Cuong - chairman of Vietnamese General Labour Union and the chairman of Vietnamese Commitee Union - Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Bao together with Vietnam ILO Director Mr. Chang-Hee Lee signed this important document.

The prime minister Mr. Dao Ngoc Dung emphasized: "In the new cooperation period, Vietnamese government continues to concentrate on employment target, human resources development and social insurance in the background of the economy going on with the international economic affiliation progress. The government is to ensure the compliance with the stable development strategy, the balance between the economy and society target, to ensure the right and welfare of employees, employers and the whole society.

The prime minister also proposed ILO and social partners to create the implementation plan of  this cooperation commitment. Foremost, it's necessary to concentrate on fulfillment of employment legislation system, creating the harmony relationship among business; ILO continues to support Vietnam to fulfill the reform plan of society insurance and salary, to study and validate some main ILO conventions, enhance the process of international affiliation.

According to Mr. Vu Tien Loc, the VCCI chairman: "The stabilization is the result and the motivation of the sustainable  development. So the stabliliztion is the most important matter to every economy. In fact, among the goals that we aim at during industrialization, modernization process, the final and the important matter is that people need an employment."
