The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ho Chi Minh City and the International Labor Organization jointly organize training courses and consultancy on corporate social responsibility.
In the context of global integration and the advent of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), adherence to corporate social responsibility regulations is considered one of the key criteria for Vietnamese enterprises to become the supplier of multinational corporations as well as to successfully participate in the global value chain. In order to assist enterprises in the value chain of the electronics industry with more information and knowledge related to this field, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI HCM) and the International Labor Organization (ILO) jointly organized a Training and Consultancy on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). CSR training is part of the CSR Project in Vietnam.

The training workshop was held on 22-23 November at Sen Viet Hotel, Ho Chi Minh City, attracting more than 30 participants from over 20 enterprises in the electronics supply chain in Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai such as: Mitsuba, Foster, Fuji Xerox, ... At the training session, enterprises were trained on knowledge in CSR field, sharing about CSR implementation process in enterprises. At the same time, difficulties in implementing CSR are also discussed. The lecturer of the training, Ms. Truong My Diem, CSR trainer of UNIDO program, has provided answers as well as guidance to enterprises to support enterprises to implement CSR more effectively. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Ha, ILO staff and coordinator of the project also shared some relevant information to provide businesses with a multidimensional view on CSR practices in enterprises.
Through the training program, enterprises will be able to expand their CSR training activities, improve labor productivity, reduce business risk and bring more positive results to the business community in the near future.
